fun and exciting events in Akron, Ohio where they will

There will be several car
clinics available for you to visit, ask questions about building
a racer and see a display of a racer for assistance. The construction clinics
will offer you a wealth of assistance as you have a lot
of fun building your racer!
Some of the major objectives for
the committee and racers include: Having fun and being
safe. To ensure and uphold the utmost level of fairness
and fun in the derby race, we will constantly monitor race
vehicles to ensure adherence to the rules as given by the All
American Soap Box Derby. Race
officials will continue to strongly monitor and evaluate each
racer prior to and throughout each heat to ensure the wheel
assembly and the wheels' existence are in compliance with the AASBD rules. The above mentioned conditions and
intentions are all subject to transform based on the number of
race participants we receive.
With
regards to safety, please pay very close attention to and
assemble your car in accordance with your respective design's
specifications. This is for the racer's safety.
Also, any racer not within specification runs the risk of
forfeiting their opportunity to compete in Akron, OH should they
win in our local race.
This year's registration fee is
$50. The registration fee funds will go directly to
support the cost of our local derby event.
