Quincy Specific Rules for 2008
-
Full Wheel Swap - Mandated by AASBD
(don't like the idea of a wheel swap? Contact the All
American Soap Box Derby President, Jim Huntsman, and let
him know. Via e-mail at
Jim@aasbd.org
or via phone at 330-733-8723).
-
Single Elimination
-
The total best net time amongst two races in a
heat advances to next round
-
In the event of a tie for total heat time
differential, the entire heat (two races) will be re-run
exactly as was in ensuing tie (meaning cars will stay in the
respective same lanes
and wheels will remain intact for reach repeated race as done in the
two previous races)
-Two races make up one heat.
If there is a tie in one of the
two races, the total time
differential of the two races will be
used so there is no need
to re-run a single race.
-
Everyone must conduct themselves in a fashion
that: -encourages a positive development of
our youth racers, spectators and volunteers,
-ensures excellent sportsmanship
-promotes the optimist creed.
